Event Details:28 April 2014 @ 7:00 PM - SUNY Purchase Orchestra Room (735 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, NY 10577)
What's Up:Almost two years ago, I left a very rewarding job teaching music in Pennsylvania and moved to the Hudson Valley to make music, write songs, and be closer to a girl. To say it was a risk would be a massive understatement - nobody knew how it was going to turn out, and if I'm honest with myself, I didn't know either. All I knew is that I was making either the best move of my life, or the worst decision I had ever made. Two years in to the experiment, I'm pleased to report that everything has turned out far better than I could have hoped. The girl is now my fiancee, I'm writing more songs than I ever have before, and I'm halfway through a Master's in Studio Composition at SUNY Purchase. Life is good, and getting better daily. Hence, this recital! Sure, it's a requirement for my degree, but in reality it's a celebration of the changes my life has seen in the past two years - everything I've learned, all the people I've met, every experience I've had, every song I've sung. Come out and hear some music, and help me celebrate a risky but rewarding change in direction. Set List:Still a work in progress, and subject to change without notice.
